Playbook should look pretty different come season time with Chip Kelly taking over the offense, thankfully.

Why would you leave a loaded room with a NC caliber roster right now for AT BEST a lateral move. Of course it’s not a lateral move and we all know that, just saying that a 3 year deal at close to same salary as the deal you are on seems suspect. Even if he sees the writing on the wall long term and don’t see a future beyond this year, why not stay until the end of your contract and then reevaluate? I guess if you are worried you won’t have good options for jobs after the tOSU contract is up then you grab a 3 year deal now while you can? If that’s the case then it’s the opposite of “betting on yourself”

Additionally, I’ve read he doesn’t interview well and if he feels his career has hit a ceiling and he feels any pressure from Day regarding RB production or recruiting then that could play a role.

All in all this is a very strange move.

Hartline might sting too. He got the OC title, even if it's only a title so far.
And Alford didn't.

Ultimately though, i dont care. He we went north. Fuck him.

He really should have blocked 0 on that play too. MHJ was slacking there. Saved by Hendo's speed.
Anything less than 2 players taken out per WR is unacceptable.

Now, if I were a devious fellow.....Let's see if Chip takes Tony's basic favorite run play, one that he'd recognize in his sleep, and go from the onfield setup to a completely different direction. Not entirely sure how'd that look or play out, but once he shouted the alarm to the D, and Xichigan reacted by shifting or substituting, the play unfolds, and instead of doing what he planned at tOSU, he got crossed up. We might not know that until Chip mentioned it in the post win presser. "And this is why Trayveon broke the 65 yard touchdown - this was for you Tony".

Tate Martell and Tony Alford are in a league of their own.

I don’t recall people really even caring that much about Quinn Ewers leaving, although I’m sure there was a minor spike at the time.

Alford is on the list forever.
