But seriously (and directed to posters who actually know something about hockey), this Olympics has to be the biggest boon for hockey in the US since the NHL/ESPN contract of the early 90's. If the NBC execs had a clue, it could have been even better. Hope this translates into more and better NHL coverage in the future. Too bad it will all be centered around Crosby. Ugh.

Actually as someone who grew up on hockey and who half of my friends are canadian and played in organized leagues since I was 6, I find it amusing to get lectured by a bunch of fat asses on a message board who probably can't even skate

Actually I think they are on the outside looking in at this point.

But yes, they are finally back to "healthy", Franzen has been able to get his conditioning back due to the Olympics and Lilja returns tomorrow.

They won't win the Central, but they can still make a run if they get into the playoffs.

i still like their chances at getting maybe the 6th or 7th seed (with the jackets getting the 8th.....JK thats not gna happen)

if they do get in, they will definitely make a big run. they have a bunch of experienced vets including ozzy.
