If osu beats UM and doesn't make the playoff (which is essentially guaranteed unless msu chokes), urban is going to be so pissed. Not only at Beck, but himself as well. When you hire someone with an absolutely horrid track record, with the main reason being he knows your other OC from their time at friggin Kansas of all places, you deserve what you get. He'll know that he cost him, his team, and the program a very real shot of a NC.

Its like Withers, but oh so worse. Withers had a solid track record (not great, but solid). And the defense wasn't that good, but was nothing like what Beck did in one season.

All I know is that scUM arguably has a better defense than sparty this year, and I am afraid Beck is going to call a game that will make our extremely talented QBs look so stinky that Joe Bauserman will look like John Elway in comparison.

Yep. We can be pissed all we want and don't have to fight with too many other emotions because there was fuckall we could do about any of it. Urban also has to deal with the fact that ultimately, he is responsible for the results. He can't just be pissed at Beck without also being pissed at himself because he's the one that picked him.

One of my employees fucked something up and it cost me $2,500 to fix it....pisses me off to no end...but I'm the dipshit who put him in a position where he could fuck up so badly. I'm still peeved about it, but it's my responsibility to deal with the fallout, even if I was not directly responsible.

(It's also my responsibility to make sure it doesn't happen again....which it won't.....because I let the motherfucker go. Just saying, Coach....)

I think embarrassed is the biggie. Embarrassed that he allowed himself to hire a coach who found a way to regress a Heisman caliber QB and championship winning QB. And when your average points scored goes down by more than 10 points when returning 4/5 of your OL, your stud QB(s), and elite RB, you should no longer have a job. Period.

Makes me wonder if Meyer will take a larger hand in play calling for scUM, but it won't help with Beck's shitty job of getting the QB's ready for the game.

I don't even know, it seems to me like Beck is sitting around in the booth wringing his hands and muttering to himself "The other team will never suspect my cunning plan of having each QB run the other QB's plays, mwahahaha," and then wondering why the offense looks like crap.
