Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
I've been wondering, what is the significance of designating a thread as an "official thread"? i.e. Does it make it any more relevant than a thread that is not designated as "official"?
Who has the authority to designate a thread as official?
It sure doesn't stop anyone from starting a new thread on the same topic. Does that make all other threads with a similar topic "unofficial"? In fact many times someone will start a new "official thread" when there is already an existing thread on the same subject.
What is the format for designating an "official thread"? I've seen numerous variations, such as:
The official XYZ thread
OFFICIAL XYZ
XYZ (official thread)
XYZ (Official Thread)
XYZ (official)
