Has anyone ever heard of this?

The link to it was sent to me by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Basically, it's a bet you make on your team, and if your team makes it to a certain game, then you will then be able to purchase a ticket(s) at face value to that game.

I found it interesting because they offer a bcs bid. You pay the money for your team, $100 for a bid on the Buckeyes currently, and, if your team makes it to any of the 4 BCS games, then you can buy 1 ticket at face value, for each bid you buy. Basically, you're betting that your selected team will make it to a BCS game. If they do make it, then you get to buy a face value ticket. If your team doesn't make it, then you lose your money.

The better or more favored your team is, the higher you pay for the bid. The worse they are, the less you'll pay. The longer into the season, the higher you team price is, if they keep winning.

So, if you think the Buckeyes can make it to a BCS game next year, no matter what game, then you pay $100 each now and then face value later.
$100 over face seems like a good deal to me, considering what people pay outside the stadium every week.

You can do this for most major sports, including next months Final Four. If your team makes ther Four, then you get to buy a ticket that is good for all 3 games. Duke is currently around $330, and the face for an all event ticket is $140 . Villanova, on the other hand is only $199, which seem like a pretty good bet to me.

I looked at it for the Fiesta Bowl last year, before we played TSUN. I think the price was about $150 at the time, and that it was specific to the Fiesta Bowl. I didn't go for it, and ended up getting an SRO ticket on e-bay.
