Texting issues

Question.

I have an LG Optimus f3 smartphone. My wife has an iPhone 5. When she texts me, only 70% of the texts ever make it to me. She will even show me where she sent the texts, and sure enough, only some of them reached my phone.

Anyone else have this problem? Is it an apple to android issue? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Tell her to sign out of iMessage/iCloud.

Won't that mess up texting other people with iphones? Or do you mean whenever she's going to text me, sign out.

You don't need imessage to send sms/mms messages to other iphone users.

Did you recently switch from an iPhone? When I did I had major issues and I had to get out of iMessages.

That's what I keep seeing when I google it, but no, I've never had an iphone. I went from an old school basic cell to this Android like a year ago.
