Tennessee 95, #7 Texas 78 (Final)

Chris Lofton is a sophomore (and leading scorer) for Tennessee that I always wanted Ohio State to recruit to play both bball and football out of high school.

He was an absolute stud for Maysville High--he broke some state shooting records of Rex Chapman en route to the bball state title as a junior in high school. He's pure from 3.

Texas is better than this and had a key player sitting on the bench with the effects of a brain concussion.

Their coach better get into this team's heads quickly or they are going to fall far and quickly. They lost this game and the butt-kicking they got from Duke was still talking to them.

JohnnyCockfight, I too liked Lofton coming out...even though i'm 99.9% sure he wouldn't have gone to OSU even with an offer. Not to correct you too much, but it was Mason County who he played for, not Maysville. The school is in Maysville though, so I understand what you were saying.

My wife is from Maysville, and Chris used to hang out with her younger sister at the house from time to time. He was a good kid, and a great b-ball and football player. He tore it up the Kentucky state championship game a few years back when Mason County won it. From what I understand, he waited a little long on returning Patino's phone call about if he was intersested on going to Louisville...so they moved on without him. Shame, because I would have loved to see him show his skills at a basketball school in the spotlight like Louisville is.
