Lexington outside linebacker Cade Stover was also at practice on Tuesday morning, at which time Ohio State offered him a scholarship.

The 6-foot-4, 206-pound Stover isn't yet ranked by any major recruiting sites, but will undoubtedly be one of the top-rated prospects in the Class of 2019. And though he also holds offers from Iowa State, Kentucky, Miami (OH), Oklahoma and Virginia, Stover had thoughts of becoming a Buckeye while at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.

"I will soon, most likely," Stover told 247Sports.

Lexington is where my kids go, so we've got to watch him over the last two years. Two sport star in a D2 school as a freshman and sophomore that's made very respectable tournament runs both years; nothing to sneeze at. What impresses me most about Cade in both sports is he is just so instinctual. He's a very good athlete and a very good kid from a good family.

It's exciting for us locals that he is getting recruited by the Buckeyes.

"Being at Ohio State with me already being offered was great," Stover stated. "I was a lot more comfortable there and I felt like I was a priority for them. They aren't pressuring me to commit at all."

"I love it at Ohio State, and they treat me great," he added. "I've spent time with (linebackers coach) Bill Davis, but they aren't sure if I'm a linebacker or a defensive end. I think a lot of their program, feel very comfortable there."
"I've developed a friendship with (highly rated 2019 prospect) Zach Harrison, and we talk on a frequent basis right now," he explained. "We talk about our offers, and we have some of the same schools recruiting us."

"We talk about what we like and what we don't like, just comparing things we are finding out about recruiting," Stover said.
