MDotySr – To hell with it, Percy Harvin should retire. I am so tired of hearing about his frustration, aggravation and overall constipation!! Football is a team sport and the fact he still acts like he is above his teammates just shows the type of person he truly is. I mean he had problems in Seattle (if you cannot get along with “Petey” and I’m a Seahawks Fan) and now have issues with “Rex”, both of whom are notorious player coaches, it’s time to hang up the cleats (just don’t injure yourself in the process). He has been overpaid with migraines, hip flexors and blunt rollers for long enough. Time for the Bills to suspend him and seek some bonus redemption as he sits at home while the team is in London, pouting like a baby. Rex went on record to say “he does not know where Percy is”….for crying out loud, just go away!

Joe – Hey college football fan, is it okay if we give some respect to the American Athletic now? Hey media pundits, can we give respect to the fact that this conference has three teams that are undefeated — while all three unbeatens have beaten a power five team and have done it convincingly?

Houston has been the most efficient offense in the country and nobody is talking about them. Greg Ward Jr. has to be considered one the top ten performers of the season, and yet nobody knows his name.

The Cougars have a troubling secondary that can match up with nearly any running game in the country.

Memphis finally is getting the respect they deserve after defeating Ole Miss on Saturday. Do people realize just how good Paxton Lynch is though? The Tigers are getting things done with a ton of walk-ons in key positions.

Are you kidding me?

We are talking about Memphis walk-ons here. Not Ohio State, Notre Dame, or Florida walk-ons.

Temple has instilled a defensive mindset in it’s program and it has been a thing of beauty in the offensive era of the game.

Whoever escapes the American Championship Game when Houston/Memphis takes on Temple, deserves to be talked about as a playoff contender.

If Temple goes undefeated, beats Notre Dame and Penn State in non-conference play, while beating the Tigers in the regular season and Houston in the championship game — they deserve a spot in the final four.

The future of big boy college football lives in this conference. Tom Herman, Justin Fuente and Matt Rhule will be coaching big boy programs sooner rather than later. Chad Morris will also get his chance once he builds the SMU program back up through recruiting.

These guys are being pushed every week by veteran coaches that have proven themselves at a high level

Ken Niumatalolo will always have an open invitation to certain power five conferences across the country if he ever chooses to move on from Navy.

Tommy Tuberville is one of the most underrated coaches in college football. George O’Leary has won 47 games at UCF over the last five years. Ruffin McNeill has built up his alma mater into a yearly contender.

The AAC is as real as it gets. Give it a chance.

Ken – Oh, I’ll go with Special Teams coaching for $200, WVa. In order, UM’s punt team on the last play of their game vs MSU. The Spartans were “bringing the house” to block the punt, yet UM still had two ‘gunners’ split out to cover the kick. These ‘gunners’ may have been more useful if positioned in-line to slow down the MSU rush. Next up is the Indianapolis Colts for their swinging gate formation on (maybe?) a fake punt. It ended up being a ‘no punt’ with the Patriots stopping the play for a loss. Brady led the Pats on a short-field TD on the ensuing drive to give New England the 2 touchdown (and winning margin) lead.

JC – I don’t necessarily have a rant for this week in sports. I have cause for celebration. My Bengals are 6-0 & looking good. And TTUN lost on a historical mental error. I love that the False Prophet of Jimbo decided to punt. 10-seconds in the game? This is so Eagles vs. Giants in the Meadowlands back in the day. Then Jimbo in the after game interview said “…all we had to do was catch the ball and punt. That’s all we had to do.” The most impossible thing that could have happened – happened … but a return could have too. Jimbo and his inflated ego was still not taking responsibility for “THE” wrong decision. This week for me has been good. Now let me go treat myself for a slice of extra cheese at John’s in the Village.

Michael – Recently I got into a Twitter debate with John U Bacon. He tweeted out that Jim Harbaugh will be the head coach of ttun for life, never leaving for anything, ever. I said since he had a horse in the race of course he wants that. He then claimed he didn’t. That’s right. The guy who went to ttun, teaches at ttun, and writes books about ttun football says he has no horse or stake in ttun. Really? Seriously? Who is he kidding?

WVa – I am honestly really just very tired of the idiots that go out of their way to show their ignorance on social media. I for one would be completely okay with someone filing charges of some sort against these jokers who think it’s okay to attack a person on social media. It is cyber bullying plain and simple and there needs to be a law against it. If there’s already a law then it needs to be enforced!
