Tattoo question

So I'm think about getting a tat on my chest for a while. How does the whole hair factor play into a tattoo? I have a feeling with hair and the tat it'll end up looking pretty stupid.

depends really. are you like robin williams hairy? or just have some chest hair? most of my tattoos are on my legs and my legs are pretty average for hair and they still look ok.
