Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult!
For $10,000, Woman Tattoos Ad on Forehead

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - For $10,000, Kari Smith has gone ahead and had her forehead tattooed with the Web address of a gambling site.

Bountiful, 30, who sold her unusual advertising space on eBay, said the money will give her 11-year-old son a private education, which she believes he needs after falling behind in school.

``For the all the sacrifices everyone makes, this is a very small one,'' she said. ``It's a small sacrifice to build a better future for my son,'' she said.

``To everyone else, it seems like a stupid thing to do. To me, $10,000 is like $1 million. I only live once, and I'm doing it for my son,'' she said.

Tattoo artist Don Brouse said he and his staff spent nearly seven hours Wednesday trying to talk Smith out of putting ``GoldenPalace.com'' above her face. When he did go through with it, he kept the inch-tall letters close to her hairline, where bangs or a hat could provide some cover.

Smith's eBay auction attracted more than 27,000 hits and 1,000 watchers. Bidding reached $999.99 before Goldenpalace.com, an Internet gambling company in the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake, Canada, met Smith's $10,000 asking price.

OK I understand her intentions and her heart is in the right place but I don't think her brain is functioning properly. Also I wonder how long she has to leave it on there or can she get it removed in a month (except if she is needing money that bad she probally doesn't have enough money to get it removed.)

My policy is: no permanent damage. (Yes, I play the "How much would someone have to pay you to _____?" game a lot.) If it could be proven that the tattoo could be removed, and that there would not be significant scarring/deformation/etc., then I would wear it for ten thousand (10,000) U.S. dollars a month (after taxes) for up to twelve (12) calendar months.

...just in case anyone is listening.

Does anyplace other than GoldenPalace.com ever win these things? I'm surprised nobody has put up an ad to let someone kick them in the nuts. I'm sure GP.com would win that one and send Mike Vanderjackoff over to kick the dude in the nuts.

I commend her for doing something to help her kid, but this kind of decision makes me hope the boy is a late bloomer and has a bright father because the intelligence genes from mom are pretty questionable.

i would get an advertising tattoo on my arm/leg for probably $100,000 and leave it on there for life, i can't think of a dollar amount high enough for my forehead

I'd do it for $10 million as long as I would be allowed to get it removed after a period of time, say a year or so. I would just wear a GoldenPalace.com visor all the time.

think about the money that could be raised for a company if they sponsored a 'kick Skip Bayless in the nuts on live TV' event.
