Supersize my fist, a#$hole....

Gotta say, Stx, I don't understand your reaction here. I mean, you seem to feel pretty strongly about it. Do you think the kids he was talking to don't say "Fuck" or joke about their teachers smoking weed (or worse?)

Politically incorrect, sure. That I won't argue. But I just don't see the big deal. The more talking, the better, far as I'm concerned. Even profanity laced talking.

If you are speaking to a HS asembly you do not

A-make fun of special education kids-that is just pathetic-even by another kid
B-spew out F-bombs
C-joke about drug use among the faculty.

It's called acting like an adult, and realizing your responsibilities as one. If a kid wants to watch Dave Chapelle do a standup routine on HBO about smoking weed and dropping lots of f-bombs-fine-that what Dave does. If a school is presenting someone as a guest speaker, that person should maintain an air of adultness. That's why comedians and shock jocks are not usually sked to speak to HS students. Would you want a speaker at your kids school doing these things?

So because immature kids do it, that makes it okay for a grown adult to?

All it takes is one parent to complain of a religious, Christian, or otherwise "offensive" display, song, or speech for the reaction by the principal and/or school board to be swift and severe. I expect this will be exactly the same....er, won't it?

The school officials have a right to expect that their speakers will be more mature than the average 7th grader. In this case, the expectation was not met.
Spurlock said he's never had a complaint after giving similar talks at other high schools and colleges.
Maybe if the school had done their research before asking him to speak, their expectations wouldn't have been so high.

Yes, I'd let Ann Coulter talk, Thump. I'm for the most full freedom of speech I can find. When my kids hear something "they're not supposed to" I, as their parent, clean up the mess. But, I don't get pissed at the speaker. I used the speaker as an example of .. whatever point I'm making.

Anyway, I also think the guy was "out of line" But, I'm not so upset about it. I mean, all the guy did was swear and joke about weed. Big deal. I'm not gonna punch him 'cause of it.

Yes, a guest speaker is going to tell the principal "I plan on cursing, talking about teachers smoking weed, and making fun of the special-ed kids" I don't fault the administration-I would not have expected this out of Spurlock, and, based on his show, I think he would be an interesting choice for a guest speaker.
