3 of us are heading to the game no matter what, and we are hoping to get some tickets. Are student tickets (requiring IDs) clearly marked as such? We do not have current student IDs, and don't want to get taken if we end up buying from a scalper.

Thanks for any clarification!

They are marked as student tickets...if you get student tickets, make sure the student is present and will go to upgrade them (prepare to wait in a huge line...if they are doing same day upgrades, which I don't know that they are)...the student whose name is on the ticket has to be the one that upgrades the ticket, so check BuckIDs before you buy and don't exchange cash until you get your tickets

I read on the OSU website that tickets for this game are not upgradeable, as the are part of the "optional" games. So I don't think student tickets will work for us, even if an ID for each ticket is included in the deal.

Please let me know if I'm wrong about this... sure would hate to part with cash and then not be let in the game!

Student tickets will not work for you unless you have the idea of the person whose name is on the ticket.

This is NOT true (at least it wasn't last year, and I haven't seen anything to change it). Last year, you just needed a valid student ID if you were using a student ticket (and yes, they do check no matter what gate you entered), but the name on the ticket need not match the name on the ID. Besides, the whole argument is irrelevant for the game asked (Texas) b/c student non-conference tickets do not have the student's name on them. However, they do still say "Student ticket."

Yeah I know what you are saying about last year, b/c my g/f entered with a dudes ID that wasnt on the ticket, but the rules said this year that you can give to a family member or friend as long as they have your id and it matches the ticket.

I guess that will be for the season package and not non-conference.
