Student pre-conference tickets available today...where are YOU sitting?

rocketman

flying low
EDIT: Apparently I'm an idiot and can't read emails...tickets won't be available till Wednesday (8/17/2005). Sorry if you already booked it to the Schott after seeing this post. Thanks to CleveBucks for letting us know...

Unfortunately I won't be able to swing by the Schott to pick up my tickets until this Friday, but for those of you that live within a hundred miles of Columbus...where are your seats?

Thought it would be hilarious (but probably impossible) if some of the BP'ers ended up sitting in the same row/section...

BTW, for your info:

I wish they would hold short Saturday hours for ticket pickup. I run into this problem every year as I am working an internship somewhere in Ohio where I could come home for a weekend and get them but there's no way to do so on the weekdays. Any idea if a parent could pick them up for you? If not I might call the ticket office up and ask.

Doubtful, I wish they would just mail it to you if you requested. Heck, last year you got the pre-conference tickets through email and printed them out! Even for a little more $$ I'd gladly do it. And all they have to do is check with the registrar to make sure the address is legit for students atleast.

I think you are greatly over estimating the ability of the OSU to do something that should be simple. When my wife changed her (first) name, she had to do it with Human Resource, Commencement, the Registrar, and her College...and it was still wrong when she had to verify her graduation information

Even if it were simple, they still wouldn't do it though...you need to show your BuckID and verify your SSN to get the tickets, period. This is also why your parents can't pick up the tickets.

They might tell you your seats, but you'd have to find a worker that isn't lazy and isn't swamped...chances are that will be difficult because the athletic tickets office tends to be busy and have a large line

And IIRC they scrapped the printable tickets because it took a fuckton of time to scan them and it was just a hassle

I don't know where you got your information, but it wasn't good information. I went to pick up my tickets today after reading your post, but the office informed me they wouldn't be ready until Wednesday.

Got Mine!

The Faculty and Staff tickets are now out!

We are in 23D, first row. We have had these seats for 3 years and they are some of the best in the stadium. Its a little high, but it is a handicaped row so there are actual seats not bleachers.

If anyone is close, maybe we can get together before the game starts.
