Umm... yeah, that was a ridiculously entertaining card tonight.

For those who watched, is anyone else wondering whether the last fight was thrown?

Just got back from the fights... that was stopped way too early, like he couldn't let it go another 7 seconds, really? The crowd didn't care because they were so pumped to see Diaz win. It was a good slug fest for the time it lasted, at that pace it could have been an epic fight if it wasn't stopped.

I don't know what hurt Daley - it looked like his legs gave away out of nowhere after trying to forcefully and intelligently shove Diaz to the ground. My question is whether Daley was on the take. I doubt that he was, but I watched a lot of replays, and didn't see much that could have hurt him. That being said, I am a fan of Diaz, and was happy to see yet another winning brawl from him.

And as good as Diaz was, his buddy Gilbert Melendez put on an even more violent display of scariness. Though the fight was short, how on earth did his opponent last even that long? And how is Melendez that brutal at 155 lbs?

I was just recently able to watch a replay of the fight. It was strange that his chin went soft invisibly, I couldn't see one particular brutal strike, when he started to woozyly stumble back. I get why the ref stopped the fight, he wasn't really defending himself, but there was only 3 seconds left... and the way that fight was going, he could have given Daley the 3 seconds.

Melendez is a beast, their whole squad is with Sheilds too. Kawajiri was timid after that first hook landed on him 20 seconds in... then he got finished off with those nasty elbows.
