with Zac Rosenbauer

Just to press some recent memory, over the past ten years, the state of Ohio and The Ohio State University have produced some premiere linebackers. From the sensational career of Andy Katzenmoyer to the swelling anxious anticipation of seeing Storm Klein in Columbus in 2009, there is a storied line of linebackers that have been bred with assembly line efficiency. Early reports say that the next possible great one is Lima Shawnee Sophomore Zac Rosenbauer. At 6'2" and currently 240 pounds, Zac is a solid combination of size, power, and speed. As the recruiting ball begins to roll in Rosenbauer's life and the combine circuit begins again, the BPRT slowed Zac down for a minute for another round of The Straight Six.

BPRT: When you think of Ohio State football, what comes to mind?

ZR: Tradition, excellence, winning and Jim Tressel.

BPRT: What position would you prefer to play in college and why?

ZR: I would prefer to play Linebacker in college because that's what I've played since I was a little whipper-snapper, but as long as I get on the field it doesn't really matter.

BPRT: You are halfway through your high school career...what goals have you set personally and for your team?

ZR: My main goal is to become the best football player and overall person I can be. Our main team goal is win a WBL championship, but I would also like to make the playoffs after missing it by about tenth of a point two years in a row.

BPRT: When your career is over, how would you like people to remember Zac Rosenbauer?

ZR: As a good person on and off the field.

BPRT: If you were analyzing yourself on film, what would you list as your strengths and what needs some work?

ZR: My strengths are my size, strength, intelligence, hitting ability and shedding blockers. My main areas of "improvement" are my speed and overall agility. I also need to work on coverage and hitting lower/driving legs... ohhh and my "hips".

BPRT: What are some of your favorite things to do away from football?

ZR: It's kind of hard to get away but I guess hanging out with friends, going to movies etc.
