Two former Ohio State players just got their call up to the active roster.
The Rams are a popular landing spot for former Ohio State Buckeyes these days, with James Laurinaitis leading the way. The team put one linebacker on the injured-reserve list and released another -- and the two spots have been filled with Buckeyes, one safety and one linebacker.
Safety Christian Bryant has been back and forth between the practice squad and active roster this year for the Rams, but should finally get some consistency with all the other personnel changes. Bryant had 8 combined tackles in the preseason and one forced fumble. He's only been active for two games during the regular season and didn't see playing time in either.
Defensive lineman Doug Worthington also got the call to join the active roster for the first time this season. He was drafted by the Steelers in 2010 and has spent time playing for Tampa Bay and Washington through 2012. He missed the 2013 season due to injury and was only signed to the Chargers for the 2014 preseason.
Best of luck to both former Buckeyes as they join Laurinaitis and long snapper Jake McQuaide in the latest OSU "franchise" outside Columbus.
