I love the irony of this story. The stronger members of this group do not require primitive weapons, but those that Darwin would have us believe lose out in the contest for survival are the ones that innovate. And the evolutionists are utterly oblivious to the contradiction...they see only what they want to see.

while not to get into this debate, perhaps your reasoning is skewed. maybe the ones with the ability to innovate and use weapons are actually the stronger of the group, and thereby are evolving to maintain survival. the
"only the strong survive" notion isn't constrained to physical strength. but if you are a creationist looking for any way to discredit evolution, then I can see why you would make such an assumption.

Well, yeah, I'm sypathetic to the creationist perspective. But I usually do not attempt to discredit something that hasn't been demonstrated to be credible. That said, I think you make a valid point. But historically, proponents of the Darwinian theory of "survival of the fittest" have tended to focus on the physical. Certainly the Nazis did when they seized on Darwin's theory in support of mass extermination of supposedly lesser, weaker humans by those who relied on the sheer, brute force of the state.

It was reported today that the militant spear wielding chimps are just weeks away from having WMDs(bigger spears). Our government is in third party negotiations with the fascist chimps state, but it is believed that only military action can take away the chimps spears and that the non-spear wielding chimps will greet us as liberators.
After the liberation we will work hand and hand with the ex-patriot chimp group (ECG) to nation build and plunder the chimps of their banana stocks and pay for a chimp government that will give us hand jobs on demand!
We expect after the liberation that only 55 advisers will be needed to police the liberated chimp population. Because we will see chimps dancing in the trees!
It is believed that when the other ape nations see how swell the chimps are behaving under our control that they will all want to be "liberated'.
The President will speak to the people shortly on how this "liberation" will benefit all Americans and best of all not cost the US tax payers a single cent! (The tax payers making over $200,00 a year and contributors to the election campaign that is)

In the meantime, the Baby Seals Anti-Defamation League is suing over the deliberate black-out in the media of baby seals who can break open crab shells with rocks while floating on their backs on the high seas, something no goddamn tree-climbing chimp would ever dream of doing.

"Hell yeah we're pissed," their spokeseal claimed. "All this attention for these damn apes! Hell...for all we know, our forebears taught the apes how to f*cking survive out of sheer pity! Where's the respect?"
