Draddy awards: 2

1995 - Bobby Hoying
2003 - Craig Krenzel

Maxwell awards: only 1

1995 - Eddie George

#1 in Top 4 ranked seasons (6)

Depending on how this is looked at, FSU is either tied with tOSU with 6, or ahead with 7.

FSU was in the top-4 in the AP poll for 6 straight years, (94-99), and they were #4 in the Coaches poll in 2000.

17 AP 1st Team All Americans

Since 1994, I find 16 players being named AP 1st Team All American a total of 19 times (Hawk, Nugent and Pace made it twice). I haven't verified yet if that's the most:

06 - Smith, Pitcock, Laurinaitis
05 - Hawk
04 - Hawk, Nugent
03 - Allen
02 - Doss, Nugent, Wilhelm
01 - Bentley
98 - Murphy, Winfield
97 - Katzenmoyer
96 - Pace
95 - Pace, George, Glenn
94 - Stringer

#1 in NFL draft picks (89 or 7.4 per year)

I get 86 players since the 1994 season (13 drafts from 1995 through 2007), or 6.6 per year
It's 91 players since the 1994 draft, for 6.5 per year

Using the NFL's draft tracker, this is what I've counted up since '94. The first column is since the '95 draft after the '94 season, the other since the '94 draft.

I only counted up the numbers for these teams. If you think I've made a mistake, or that another team should be included here, PM me and I'll do an edit.

Team....'95-'07...-94-'07
tOSU.......86.........91
FSU.........85.........91
Tenn.......81.........86
Miami.......81........83
Florida......72........76
Nebraska...69........74
Georgia.....65........68
USC.........62........66
TSUN.......60........61
N.D..........59........69
Penn St....54........58
LSU.........50........52
Alabama...49........55
Okla........48........50
Texas......44........46

Why not since 1984? 1974? 1990? Is it because 1994 is the only year where we can say OSU is #1 in all time winning percentage.

I'm always amused by how OSU fans come up with random years to say, "Well, since X, we're the best in college football"

Actually, 1994 is not the only year where OSU can say it has the #1 all time winning pct.

Here's an example, 1930 - 2006
Here's another, 1928 - 2006

Just sayin....

Incidentally, 1995 or 1996 would have worked as well.

Aren't those years just as random?
