I think it is hilarious, that anyone would latch on to something like that to the point of obsession, hanging out on message boards, hanging on waiting for news from people they don't know...

Bad things happen when Trekkers make their own shows:

I am a die hard Star Trek fan, but I don't own any Star Trek crap or anything like that so hopefully I'm not as sad as all of the Trekkers. TNG is my favorite show of all time. It is a credit to TNG that it was so popular that it allowed for 2 other shows to survive for 7 seasons and another for 4 seasons. Enterprise was just a bad idea for a show and deserved to get cancelled long before it actually was. Last I heard they are making a new Star Trek movie now and they will bring back a show sometime in the future.

I'll watch the reruns of Star Trek: The Next Generation and those of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Never liked Voyager and the latest show Enterprise I only watched on occasion mainly cause Jolene Blalock was pretty HOT. Though the stories were getting better finally in the 4th season.
Don't own any Star Trek items whatsoever.
