I haven't seen either but i really want to see both of them. My wife and I might go see JarHead tonight, but she wont watch SawII, so i'll have to take my girlfriend to that

I saw jarhead on tuesday at an sneak preview. I thought it was pretty good. Not what I expected, but I'd say it's worth the ticket price

The town I used to live in was the hometown for the "character" played by Peter Skarsgard (sp?). I guess in the book the character is a compilation of different people. Anyways, there was an article in last night's paper complaining that the movie did not accurately reflect the truth as to the local kid and the events in his hometown after the war (I don't want to say too much as the article basically gave away the ending.)

Scooter - I hope watching a Marine movie with you is not like watching one with my brother. He critiques everything that is done wrong.

It looks like a good movie to me.

do you need to have seen Saw I to see Saw 2?

scarlet, i saw Saw II and it wasnt great but certainly not bad. definitely could afford to miss it and wait until it comes on video. also, you dont HAVE to see saw I but it definitely helps understand the ending. so i would recommend seeing the first one first.
