CFN's Midseason All-America Team

Scout.com: 2007 Midseason Report & All-Americans

What a joke. Laurinaitis and Robiskie 3rd Team, and Malcolm not on ANY of the 3 teams? Are you freaking kidding? Felix Jones second team over Tashard Choice or Eugene Jarvis? Graham Harrell first team? No Tebow?

Big Ten getting some of love though. 6/26 on the first team, and both running backs from the B10 (Hart and Mendenhall).

Still though, there is NO WAY that Malcolm Jenkins isn't one of the 6 best cornerbacks in the country. Inexcusable.

It's ok....

the best record for any team for those players in that list is 5-2.....

So basically you're saying that those All-American First Teams that everybody and their brother are putting out are mid season consolation prizes for good players who are on so-so or even sucky teams.

I agree somewhat.

Shawn Crable is the third best LB in the Big Ten? Ahead of Laurinaitis, Grant, and Freeman? Get the fuck outta here...

Partly.....

It's about how the TEAM is doing. The personal accolades will come in time.

Besides you can't tell me any one of those linebackers have been better than Freeman OR Animal (I think Lehman is on par, but Connor hasn't played as well and Crable being on this list is joke), but due to both the scheme and because Tressel can and has been able to rotate and/or play younger players, their stats aren't as big as those other players because they don't need to be.

Also, Freeman and Animal probably don't stand out quite as much because our D is frickin loaded this year.

But yeah, to a certain extent, it's a consolation prize for most of the players listed.
