RIP Vince Welnick

Not sure if the deadheads among us saw this, but Vince Welnick, Grateful Dead keyboardist from '90-'95, apparently took his own life last Friday. Evidently, he has battled depression for years, especially since Jerry died.

I don't know about anyone else but I certainly wouldn't apply to be the keyboardist.... Lets see.. Pigpen, Keith, Brent and now Vince... yeah, Im not so sure about that position...

weird little side info.. the keyboardist for DSO (Dark Star Orchestra a good cover band for the Dead) their keyboardist, dead too last year....

I saw Darkstar last July-did he die after that-that is too creepy-Darkstar were awesome tho-close as I'll ever get to seeing the Dead....

Buckeyeryn and I saw the first ever Vince Show (Cleveland) R.I.P Vince.

Vince knocked my freakin' socks off at RFK Stadium in '92 with a stellar Baba O'Riley. Man, those were some fun times. I miss the Dead. :(
