found this unsubstantiated thread on reddit. i searched a couple illinois message boards but found nothing.

Whoops, sorry for not explaining sooner and for my grammar you are about to read. My brother a couple of his friends and the football players where all at a bar after hours, my brother was flirting with the bartender. One of the foot ball players was under the impression he would be going home with the lady and didn't take kindly to my brother flirting with her. My brother is some what hard headed, so in the bar words were exchanged and the bar closed for the evening. When my brother was leaving the bar he was blind sided with a punch, then a fight broke out it was my brother and his friend vs Three football players. my brother's friend weighs like 400 lbs, no neck all muscle but he is the teddy bear type and refuses to fight, so he was was standing over my brother taking punches after my bro got knocked out.

Well, the OP seems to be a bit of a moron. My guess would be that the guy he was describing is the guy on the left. Hyperbole to say the least.

Couple things;

  1. Anytime pasty white college kids flash gang signs in a picture somebody should get the fuck beat out of them.
  2. Unfortunately, as is usually the case, the halfway normal guy who associates himself with the Vanilla Ice Revival Troupe is the one who actually took the beating.
  3. The irony of the ass kickee looking like his buddies Halloween get up is not lost on me.

Just for a bit of clarification:

The original poster stated that this incident happened over a year ago (and that 3 Illinois players were suspended (unsubstantiated)). He also goes on to state that the Halloween pictures are from this year 2010. The Bar incident is old news, but the OP wanted to express that his brother had a good sense of humor about it to dress up as his old beaten self for Halloween.

Pretty sure the guy in the white jersey is the one who took the beating, not the ass-hat looking thug-wannabe throwing up gang (?) signs.

i do not know and even if i did i would not release names, im not trying to call any one out, original purpose of post was to show my brother got beat up and then had a sense of humor about it. People seemed to be more concerned about if he made money off of it or not.
