Recommendations for hotels near Lucas Oil Stadium?

So, I'm throwing around the idea of going to the Big Ten Championship game this December...of course I expect the Buckeyes to be playing! For those of you familiar with the area, and any of the pre-game festivities, any recommendations where to stay within walking distance to the stadium? Thanks!

Le Meridien (formerly the fabled Canterbury) is probably the best place to stay. Definitely dine at St. Elmo Steakhouse.

You need to book rooms NOW. We are staying at the Hampton Inn downtown. Last year we stayed at Embassy Suites downtown.
