I really thought he would thrive in Shanny's system. The writing was on the wall when he got passed over for a 6th-round pick, though.

There may not be any former Ohio State football players on the field in this year’s Super Bowl.
Between the two teams that will play for an NFL championship in two weeks, the only Buckeye on either team’s active roster is Trey Sermon, who has been inactive for both of the Philadelphia Eagles’ first two playoff games as their fourth-string running back.
Nevertheless, Sermon will have the chance to earn a Super Bowl ring in his first year with the Eagles and just his second NFL season when they play the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 12 in Glendale, Arizona (6:30 p.m., FOX).

Sermon had five carries for 17 yards and one reception on two targets in Sunday's overtime win at Baltimore.
Sermon was the surprise backup to starter Zack Moss, as Deon Jackson was waived Saturday and Jake Funk was limited to just five snaps on special teams. Sermon played 18 snaps on offense. It looks like Sermon again will serve as the backup Week 4 against the Rams and then would move back to a smaller role if Jonathan Taylor (ankle) comes of the reserve/PUP list for Week 5.

Just sayin': After finally getting healthy in the shortened 2020 season he got 112 yards vs Sparty, 331 yards vs NW, and 193 yards vs Clemson. I really would of liked to see him come back in 2021 and see what he could do for a full (and healthy) season. However, with his history of injury problems; he probably made the right choice opting for the 2021 NFL draft.
