RB J.K. "All Day" Dobbins (2017 B1G CG MVP, 2019 1st Team All-American, Los Angeles Chargers)

It astonishes me just how great a running back JK was during his career and how relatively un-decorated he is for it. What's more, this past season especially, he got most his yards in those games that mattered. Some backs disappear when the competition steps up. Not JK Dobbins.

2019 Wisconsin 20 for 163 2TDs
2019 Penn State 36 for 157 2TDs
2019 The Game 31 for 211 4TDs
2019 B1G Championship (Wisc) 33 for 172 1TD
2019 Semifinal Clemson 18 for 174 1 TD

That's 138 carries for 877 (6.36/carry) and 10 TDs ... I don't recall the specific ratings of the rush Ds at the time OSU played them, and JK is responsible for their average being lower now, but those rush Ds are 8th, 5th, 24th, 8th, 15th.

Sparty, for all it lacks, did also have the 18th best rush D in the nation this year. But, then, JK was 24 for 172 and a TD there too.

GOAT.

I'd like to point out that JK ended up with exactly the same number of rushing yards and TDs as Jonathan Taylor of Wisconsin, 2003 yards and 21 TDs.

It's just that JK did that with a better yards/carry, 6.7 to 6.3, and had fewer fumbles.

JK deserved some of the awards that Taylor won this year - I'm just glad the Football Writers has the judgment to make JK a first team All-American so he gets his tree in the grove, because if that hadn't happened it would have been a travesty.

Wishing you loads of success in the NFL, JK, you've earned it.

So who is the next Buckeye to win the TX award LOL?

Garrett Wilson.

Justy sayin': This guy from Rockwall, TX is an "elite" 5 star receiver too and could be the next Buckeye to win the award.....
