Rapist spared jail as judge agrees girl, 10, looked older

A man who raped a 10-year-old girl was spared a jail sentence yesterday after a High Court judge agreed that the victim looked older.

Describing the case as "wholly exceptional", Mr Justice Roderick Evans said he understood why Liam Edgecombe, a 20-year-old painter, had thought that the child was 16 when they had sex last year.

Yeah, I thought about posting this article just from the header but then took a minute to read the article. First off, it's not rape in the real sense of the word, it was consensual sex and the girl apparently looked like she was 16.

He said there was no doubt the girl consented to sex but because of her age the offence amounted to rape.

Meh, we had a girl hanging out with us when we were clubbing, she looked like she could have easily been 22-25, one day the club we were hanging out got a new owner, new owner got new security, she tried to go in and got carded.
Of course she didn't have an ID, well all came out a few weeks later that she was 13, my point, looks can be deceiving and a lot of girls seem to want to look older.

. . . If you're in to that kinda thing, of course. I mean, I never find a girl attractive until the day she hits 18. It's weird. . .

Heh, I wish I had a picture, you would swear she was older, she "developed" early so that helped, and I had a girlfriend the whole time so I never even thought about it. The look of panic on peoples faces and seeing guys just never come back to the club was amusing though :)
