i was sitting in a restaurant full of rednecks in Alabama.

dude at the table next to us asks if my sons are twin.
i tell him no , they're almost 3 years apart in age.

he then asks "are you sure? they look like twins"

I was setting up a pollen counter for an Allergist, being as it was on the roof, and a useable power source was a fair distance a way, I suggested that he allow me to put a 150 ft power cord on it, to which he responded, "will the electricity travel that far?"

I thought my brain was going to melt and just start running out of my nose. Might be the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

(edit: Yes I know all about line loss/voltage drop, but I have never run in to anything that you would be plugging into to a 120v/20 amp circuit that the line loss would be so great that 150 ft of cord would cause a significant difference in performance. In this case it might be around 2%. However, the point is, electricity will flow any distance providing there is nothing inhibiting it.)

Last night I went out and had a few. Before driving home I was chilling out on one of the patios in the center. Two women were having a conversation and one was telling the other how her children were great bargaining chips to use against her husband. That and the rest of the conversation was so sickening it makes me realize how lucky I've been to have never hooked up with a woman like that.
