Question for the Board

  • First off... Mods, I am starting a new thread about this because I think a lot of people are overlooking the Shirt Thread

    Guys... and Gals,

BFS and I are Trying to figure out how many extra shirts we should order for future sale and for sale at the Spring Game Tailgate. So far we have around 130 shirts sold just to members of BP which is way more than what I expected. We were thinking of ordering 60-70 extra shirts but wanted to get everone else's opinion before we go ahead and put the order in. We are also planning on ordering the shirts a little early to get more exposure before the Spring Game and hopefully that'll increase sales. So ANY ideas that you have are completely welcome and encouraged.

    Thanks,
    -ScarletVeins, BFS

Also, we think it would be a good idea to finalize a general area where we're gonna be selling these. Can any of you more experienced tailgaters help discuss where we should plan to set up our t-shirt "booth" (which will probably consist of a chair and a box)? If we can figure out where these will be sold, then when people ask about the shirt you're wearing you can tell them where they can get one.

From what I've gathered from the legal drama, we can sell them from Lane Ave. Is there a particularly good spot we should shoot for over there? We obviously will have the personnel to secure a spot early, I just want to get it ironed out so all of you can tell people who want one of your shirts can be told "sure, go to this spot on Lane Ave during the spring game."

There was talk of doing it at the fawcett, but I doubt that would be kosher, personally I don't care where as it will be a pita for someone regardless. I would though suggest sending pm's to the people who are picking up so that they know where and can plan appropriately. Out of towners might need to do a little mapquesting and whatnot.

As far as good spots on Lane, the best one is probably at the corner of Lane and High in the gas station parking lot. Although it is usually filled with other vendors selling t-shirts, hats, etc. Another place where people buy shirts like crazy (especially before the Michigan game) is 17th and High, 15th and High, and 12th and High, especially right outside of 4 Kegs.

Here's the scoop on pre-game sales: all of you that order the t-shirts now will be conducting the business off-campus. I'll hand them out to you guys at the Fawcett Center, but we will not be conducting business there.

Any and all t-shirt sales will be handled elsewhere, such as Lane Ave as I am suggesting. We will not sell a single shirt at the Fawcett as that would be illegal since it is on campus.

we may want to set up shop at multiple spots too. we should have at least a couple willing members at the spring game that can set up shop at those locations. We probably won't need 3 spots starting at 7 AM :), but about 2-3 hours before the game I think it would be a good idea.
