Question/Discussion about buying tickets online vs. in person before the game

Hi everyone, I live in Maryland and will be visiting Columbus this coming week with my dad and we plan to go to the Miami game. My dad has gone before and bought tickets to an OSU football game at the stadium, an hour or two beforehand and always had success getting tickets and for less money than you would pay by buying them ahead of time.

Having never done this myself, and not wanting to bank on that strategy and have it not work, I am just wondering if the members here could let me know how realistic it is and what the price differential, if any, might be.

We need 2 tickets, which don't have to be great seats, but we don't want them in either end zone, getting tickets in the upper decks if not a problems though. Any help, guidance, ect. would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you are selling 2 tickets that fit this description, feel free to PM me with prices.

GO BUCKS!

In my experiences it really depends on the game. For a lesser opponent that is definitely the right strategy to just walk around the stadium. Thing is since you don't want endzone seats which are likely to be the cheapest chances are you're going to pay a good bit for them. Also make sure if you end up walking around looking for tickets walk down lane and high too. Usually you'll find some scalpers that are pretty reasonable. Problem is going to be to find the tickets you want. I think if worse came to worse you would still be able to buy a pair for around what they're going for right now. I'd bring a little extra cash just in case though. Definitely try to haggle with them tooBest of luck man.
