Jeremiah Smith is short (4) Tuddy’s this year in deep balls that were significantly under thrown. Throw in a few he overthrew or led Smith OB and it gets even more drastic.Do explain because certainly it does. Sometimes things really are simple.
Even if ball placement isn’t great did the guy catch it? If yes that’s good enough.
Two balls that he gave up on because he thought the play wasn’t coming to him put it at a net -2.Jeremiah Smith is short (4) Tuddy’s this year in deep balls that were significantly under thrown. Throw in a few he overthrew or led Smith OB and it gets even more drastic.
Howard’s completion percentage is absolutely inflated by WR screens, and actually one of my favorite routes against man defense but the underneath drag route. Both are very short throws that inflate completion percentage.
But his completion percentage was a bit up and down through the final (5) games on top of being turnover prone. I’m beating a dead horse here but I feel like his average arm strength became an issue when weather got cold and windy.
Yep. That doesn’t even count the INT vs Marshall that was his mistake on the deep ball as well. Two balls that he gave up on because he thought the play wasn’t coming to him put it at a net -2.
He passed up some deep shots this game I think he had but he completed a 20 yard throw on it so I'm not mad.Can we stop saying he can’t throw the ball deep?
I agree he doesn’t have elite arm strength, but you don’t need elite arm strength to throw the deep ball.
Fields held the ball too damn long and passed up the right play big game hunting. He was a freak athlete and a competitor can throw a hell of balll but as a QB give me the guy who makes the right play more often then not.Uhh...gonna have to disagree on that one.
However, if the Bucks go on a run and win this thing, I may revisit...
Oh, I would take Stroud, Fields, or Haskins over Howard. I just think the nit-picking of Howard’s game is overboard. Howard has the ability to run a top offense successfully. Can we stop saying he can’t throw the ball deep?

As of this date 5 years ago, Fields had thrown 40 TDs with only 1 interception, and had 10 rushing TDs.Fields held the ball too damn long and passed up the right play big game hunting.
