Time to ramp up the JT for Heisman chatter. Guy is on pace for 40TD's and they compared his stats to Winston's of last year and they are very very similar. JT is also a good person, which might actually detract from his Heisman status these days. :roll1:

That is MUCH more impressive. Navy, VaTech, Cinci, Maryland and Rutgers. That's nothing to sneeze at. We've played one of the more difficult out of conference schedules due to having to adapt to the vastly different offensive and defensive schemes. All 3 are pretty well coached.

To be honest, JT has shined against some bad defenses, but hey there isnt a darn thing you can do about your opponents skill level except beat them.

Total defensive ranking: Kent State (98), Cincy (120) Maryland (100), and Rutgers (82)

Penn State will be a defining game for this young man. The last top 20 defense we played was Va Tech.

JT having better command of the offense doesn't hurt. He had 17 days of first teams reps between Braxton's injury and the VT game. He seems to have caught up to the speed of the college game, slides around the pocket well, senses pressure well, is making the correct checks at the line, and getting the ball out fast. Every aspect of his game is far more advanced from where he was six weeks ago.

Exactly. Yeah, they are bad defenses...but he did what a great QB would do to a bad defense and as a freshman that hasn't been on the field in over 2 years. Thus week will be a true test but to this point, you can't help but love what he has done despite the competition.

The whole media narrative about the BIG is still running along like the train in "Unstoppable". Anyone with one working brain cell should be able to form a more accurate observation(and watch the teams play) of how good this whole offense has become. The media guys are either lazy or biased. We were good on offense last year. We're actually better this year because of overall balance between run and pass and the skill guys have a lot to do with that. And then there's a defense that is getting it's act together. Better team than last year. We're doing what a good team and QB are supposed to do to inferior competition. Mauling them.
