QB J.T. Barrett (B1G FOY, All American, Silver Football Award, 3x B1G QBOY, National Champion)

I would be disappointed with SERIOUS growing pains... I expect some but lets remember who he is surrounded by with as many weapons as JT has. This is unlike first year QB Braxton when all he had was Boom. I don't expect 60+ completion percent but then again we really don't need that somewhere in the upper 50s would work out great. My projections for Jalin, Samuel, Zeke, and Dontre just got that much bigger though because I really feel we will do whatever it takes to get the ball Into their hands as quick as possible.

We're looking at a QB in his first year, and the weapons you mention are all untested at this level as well.
The talent is there to do great things; but it's very unrealistic to think there aren't going to be a lot A LOT of miscues.
We're looking at an offense that's going to be dominated by underclassmen... that's not bad, but it comes with the territory that things aren't always going to go smooth.

Let's not start piling pressure on the guy and people getting disillusioned with their own fantasies a few games in.
We're still in it, but I'd advise people temper their expectations a bit. Especially considering all the fixes going on with the defense at the same time.

Absolutely has the potential to be a beast, knows how to use the lanes to throw an accurate throw kind of like Troy. Can scramble to throw or for first down yardage to be truthful I believe he would have been more than ready next year and he'll have miscues on the fly this year but mentally I think he can handle it. Either way should make for an exciting season.
