QB J.T. Barrett (B1G FOY, All American, Silver Football Award, 3x B1G QBOY, National Champion)

The talent gap the previous three seasons between us and Bama was effectively zero. 2013 might have been close. It was hard to tell if the defensive talent was lacking or just suffering from the scheme and philosophy changing week to week. The improvement after Ash replaced Withers was pretty dramatic, so I don't think it's too unreasonable to say that we were a hair away from laying waste to the college football world.

Now coaching, absolutely. The 2013 defense was a mess schematically. The offensive output in 2015 was inexcusable for the amount of NFL talent in the depth chart. The 2016 defense played out of their minds against Clemson when the offense couldn't even give them a breather.

No, the graphic shows the percentage of downfield throws that he completed. As I said, my numbers show the percentage of JT's throws that were 10+ yards downfield.

Right and so does the graphic above which has better numbers then what you report.. So what's with the difference

His is how many throws out of the his total attempts were 10+ yards downfield. While the chart is the completion percentage of those throws. So it shows against UNLV more percentagewise JT threw downfield in addition to completing more. However he obviously had less total throws due to how long he played.

Ah I see... thank you I wasn't gathering it for whatever reason

we have a 5th year sr qb who in week 5 of his senior season has thrown for more pass yards than any qb in school history not to mention is responsible for more td's than any qb in conference history. oh and a whole slew of other team records to boot. he's paired with a group of absurdly young and inexperienced wr's, not to mention his 3rd qb coach, and the assumption is the cause of our passing game issues is......... the qb...

only ohio state fans *sigh*
