It's painful to watch. They give him no time with the 1s and throw him out there when the starter get hurt. All the while claiming he's not ready and they don't want to start him aka give him all the 1st team reps. You are 1-7 you have 10 days till the next game then a bye week. It'd be the perfect time to start him but the interim head coach is saying it's the cussed guys job when he comes back... Terrible terrible managementRuining him
I caught 17 kinds of hell here for saying we didn't have enough info on DH to call him a "generational" QB. He had a spectacular year for the Buckeyes but I still think he should've stayed at tOSU.
Yeah, yeah, he'd have come out this year with Tua, but he came out with Murray, Jones, Minshew... all currently successful starters, I think.
He may be "generational" at some point, but he'd have benefited from another year, at least, at tOSU because he's looking like a first week freshman on Lane...... while his more experienced draft class mates are doing pretty well.
100% newbie and longtime lurker, but something to think about when it comes to Haskins returning..... who will he throw to? Dixon, McLaurin.... gone. Mack? I dunno.
It's a little thin out there. Haskins isn't dumb. He could be looking at people who've never faced B1G coverage at tOSU or a pretty fat contract and NFL caliber receivers, even as a backup.
Look at it from his perspective. Who's going to be on the other end of that pass that he trusts?
Hill and DH are going to stay or leave, as I see it, together. There's more risk for them without the other..... at the first sign one leaves, both are gone, IMO.
Mack is largely a crap shoot. Why would DH pin his hopes there? The same for Williams and Garrett (great recruits but no B1G experience and DH has zero incentive to "nurture new talent" in his final season.)
Victor is a helluva talent, but spotty. PSU was amazing, but he remains largely a leaper/red zone guy. Victor COULD be the guy for DH, but is he enough to make him stay? I think not.
Babb, great recruit again, had an ACL in high school, then another...... if you're DH, do you wanna go there for your last year?
Olave has what... 4 or 5 catches? He's good, but again, DH would be nuts to hitch his wagon in his draft season to an unproven talent.
It really does come down to Hill, in my mind. DH MIGHT.... MIGHT stay if Hill stays. If Hill leaves, why would he stay and roll the dice on an even dicier receiver rotation than this year?
I'm trying to look at this from DH's vantage point. He's got a career on Sunday NOW. What's in it for him to risk another year?
You have been awarded one (1) ding by Best Buckeye. Upon receipt of this ding you may use it in any manner you desire.I miss dings.....
