Stroud made such a huge leap throughout the season...he is just starting to realize his potential and its exciting for us (not so much other teams).

This spring, Stroud has received plenty of praise, somehow becoming an even better player than the one that left the field in Pasadena. Going through everything a second time as the Buckeyes’ starting quarterback this offseason, a step forward is expected but the redshirt sophomore is just going about his business each day.
“I'm not really attacking it different,” Stroud said of this spring. “Just trying to get better, like I always do. Just trying to take one step at a time.
“Honestly, I don't really see a huge difference (compared to last year), just I'm getting all the reps of the ones. So I mean, it's not really a big difference for me, just like my mindset. Just trying to get better, trying to be more competitive, challenges. Trying to push the defense to be great as well. Really my job is to make everybody around me better.”
Stroud's talent was evident in 2021 and he is even more comfortable on the field this spring, seeing things better than a year ago. But making those around him better is something others have noted as a difference when it comes to the quarterback this spring. Offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson was among those to point to Stroud’s leadership, as the quarterback has been louder and more assertive in practice, as things he’s noticed about the third-year player this offseason.

Express EXPR, Inc., a national fashion apparel retailer, is taking advantage of new name, image and likeness rules to sign the brand’s first-ever collegiate athlete style ambassadors. Ohio State football players CJ Stroud and Jaxon Smith-Njigba will serve as the first two ambassadors in the program.
“The announcement of our partnership with CJ and Jaxon signifies the growth of what we call the Express Styling Community, a community connected by the confidence people find through personal style. Our portfolio includes our Community Commerce Style Editors, associates, influencers, brand ambassadors, and now collegiate athletes,” said Sara Tervo, executive vice president and CMO at Express.
“As we build and engage our styling community, we look for partners who embody our brand purpose to create confidence and inspire self-expression. We chose CJ and Jaxson—two outstanding collegiate athletes from our corporate hometown of Columbus—because they live our brand values and exude confidence and style both on and off the field.”
Tervo says the brand heard Stroud was already a fan of Express and had been shopping with the brand even before they reached out about a partnership.
“We love identifying brand relationships where someone already has an affinity for the brand.”
Stroud says he and Smith-Njigba had actually been shopping together at Express shortly before they heard from the brand.

Yeah, makes you wonder how the NIL deal actually came together. Sounds like the Express somehow knew that Stroud was already a customer. The Express is a national brand with their corporate headquarters in the old Limited complex basically at the corner of I-270 and Morse Rd. They have retail stores at Easton and Polaris. It's great to see product endorsers actually like and use the product. Fantastic NIL deal for both of them and the Express.

Depending on the financials, Express might’ve just lost two customers lol.
Express is a good brand with good quality. But if they’re gonna be millionaires, they ain’t wearing Express anymore lol.

I have no idea how much money they will be getting on this NIL deal. However, if they don't have a million dollar NIL deal, it's only a matter of time. They both are pretty good bets to be one after the NFL draft next year anyway.
If you are rich and can afford any clothiers that you want, you still might chose the clothes that you like and are comfortable in. Hey, doesn't Harbaugh still wear Walmart khakis?......

Stroud is favored just ahead of Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. The Buckeye quarterback opens with +200 (2/1) odds compared to Young's +400 (4/1) odds.

It's never too early to begin the 2023 NFL Draft discussion and with this year's installment in the books, Yahoo Sports and several others are coming out with first-round projections for next spring with recognizable names at the top of the list. By most accounts, Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud — along with the Alabama duo of Bryce Young and Will Anderson Jr. — will make up the top three selections, and from there, it's an educated guess the rest of the way.
Our own Blake Brockermeyer revealed his way-too-early mock after the draft, a noticeably different projection that includes an early run on quarterbacks and several top-rated offensive linemen. The one commonality with all early projections is that the nation's annual top talent-producers don't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
1. C.J. STROUD, QB, OHIO STATE (HOUSTON TEXANS)

Stroud completed 72 percent of his passes, passed for nearly 4,500 yards and threw 44 touchdowns to just six interceptions. Unless you think Davis Mills is a budding star, Stroud has to be the guy.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback situation today is far more interesting than it was three days ago.
General manager Terry Fontenot chose Cincinnati's Desmond Ridder in the third round of this year's draft. Ridder may have tumbled, but he graded as Bleacher Report's top quarterback prospect.
Ridder could win that job outright from Marcus Mariota and give the Falcons a glimmer of home at the game's most important position. Until that actually happens, Atlanta must operate as if they don't have a long-term solution behind center.
As such, the Falcons jump at the chance to take Ohio State's C.J. Stroud.
Stroud gets the slight nod over the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, Alabama's Bryce Young, simply because the former has a bigger frame and more upside as he continues in his development. The reigning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year is well-worth this selection after finishing top-five last season in completion percentage (71.9), passing yards (4,435), touchdown passes (44) and quarterback rating (186.6).
