In this episode, we start our weekly series looking at the best games of 2025, starting with the 10 best non-conference matchups.
Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Podcast Network’s Power Two Podcast. On this show, we talk about Big Ten and SEC football…and everyone else. This show is for the die-hard fans and the casual college football fans.
After every week of action, we will catch you up on all the major matchups of the previous weekend and look ahead at the games, storylines, and players you should be paying attention to for the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host DaNaysia Jones. Lock in as we run a power sweep through the college football landscape.
On this week’s episode, we catch up on a recent development at the NFL Combine. Travis Hunter seems to believe that he will be able to play on both sides of the ball and is imploring NFL teams to allow him that opportunity.
DJ and Jordan agree that it’s just simply not possible at that level, but they hope for the best. DJ believes if he is to play on both sides he should be on the defensive side primarily and run a few routes on offense. Jordan highlighted potential locker room issues with Hunter essentially occupying two spots instead of one.
In the two-minute drill, Jordan shares strong thoughts about recent comments from Nebraska head coach, Matt Rhule. Rhule has elected to cancel the spring game this year because he does not want to lose players in the spring transfer portal. Jordan hates this thought process, and DJ sees the logic.
In the power sweep, we will begin sharing our early favorite matchups for both conference and non-conference play. This week, Jordan and DJ shared their favorite non-conference matchups.
In the two-minute warning, Jordan shared an Amazon Prime show called The Night Agent. DJ had a minor meltdown about the coin flip that determined the No. 1 seed in the SEC for women’s basketball.
