We are gearing up for the second round of College Football Playoff. Jordan and DJ break down each upcoming matchup.

Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Podcast Network’s Power Two Podcast. On this show, we talk about Big Ten and SEC football…and everyone else. This show is for the die-hard fans and the casual college football fans.

After every week of action, we will catch you up on all the major matchups of the previous weekend and look ahead at the games, storylines, and players you should be paying attention to for the next week.

My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host DaNaysia Jones. Lock in as we run a power sweep through the college football landscape.

In today’s episode, DJ and Jordan reflect on 2024 and discuss how they look forward to a new year. In the news, DJ poses the question: Does college football need a commissioner? This prompts a discussion where Jordan feels that it is necessary for football to be a separate entity from the rest of college sports. DJ ponders why the NCAA cannot fill that position as the existing governing body.

In the two-minute warning, Jordan and DJ recap the bowl games that they watched that week. Jordan attended the Pinstripe Bowl and shared his thoughts on Nebraska and Boston College. DJ shares her excitement about the Pop-Tarts Bowl and how genius the marketing was for it. Jordan shares his disdain for the weird obsession people seem to have with the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

There was an extensive discussion about Cam Ward’s decision to opt-out. Was he being selfish, or was it just self-preservation? The Alamo Bowl left much to be desired from Colorado. DJ and Jordan ponder Deion Sanders’ future at Colorado now that his sons will no longer be playing.

In the pre-game power sweep, Jordan and DJ share their analysis and their picks for the College Football Playoff Round Two Bowl Games. The games are:

  • Tuesday: Fiesta Bowl - Penn State vs. Boise State
  • Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. ET: Peach Bowl - Texas vs. Arizona State
  • Wednedsay, 5:00 p.m. ET: Rose Bowl - Ohio State vs. Oregon
  • Wednesday, 8:45 p.m. ET: Sugar Bowl - Notre Dame vs. Georgia.

As the season comes closer to ending, these games are getting tougher and tougher to pick.

In the two-minute warning, Jordan calls for another firing, but this time it is the GM of the Indianapolis Colts. DJ shares that she is loving the choreographed celebrations in the NFL this year.
