Figured this would be a good companion thread to the Desktop Background one.

And yeah, this screenshot is ripe for AT&T signal jokes. To be fair, AT&T works great for me everywhere - except my office, where radio signals go to die. When I had Sprint I didn't get a signal in my office, and AM/FM doesn't come through either. I guess that's what happens when you have concrete walls and you're adjacent to an elevator shaft.

Nice thread. If you can, post the original wallpaper picture (next to it or in a link) as well so we can borrow it. Obviously some personal photo captures like this one will not be applicable.

I adapted this one from a desktop wallpaper I found. I kept the high resolution (1600 x 2400) so I could move it, scale it and use it on my iPad without making it look bad. I like it best with a clean screen - I'm trying to use more pages and not fill up all the rows so you can actually see some of the background.

EDIT: I guess BP resized the attachment. That makes sense. If anybody wants it at full-res just send me a PM.

Made this one last night. I think it looks sharp inside of the white bezel of my phone, and not too bad for a complete novice. I made a larger version for my iPad as well, but I don't like that one as much - maybe due in part to the non-retina screen, but perhaps more because I'm placing each piece by hand and don't have the skill or patience to get everything spaced precisely. Anywho, high res version is available if you PM.

This is the evolution of the background image I had in the previous post. Some of the ones that are out there are just the worst. That's why I try to make my own. Not sure if anybody else would like them, but I'm making them available here in case anybody does.

I wanted something this time that approximated the classic silver helmet the Buckeyes wear. For a novice, I think I got close enough. I tried the same effects with a scarlet background and liked that too, so I have "home and away" versions. I also did versions without the Buckeye leaf decals. That proved to be a little too busy when I tried to read expanded lock screen notifications over top of it.
