lots of good games tonight. i wont be in bed till this game ends. headed to the 4ot.

I turned it off at the end of regulation. Probably for the best. I would've hated myself in the morning.

p.s. Color me green and call me the world's biggest Sharks fan.

The Wings looked dominant in their 4-1 win over the Flamers.....
And they did it without Todd Bertuzzi and it was Zetts first game in over a month....

I do suspect Zetterberg has been much healthier than we were lead to believe - just getting him ready for the playoffs. Bertuzzi could be back as early as Sunday. All in all, great win last night! Let's go Wings!

Worthy of mentioning -
the 4th goal scored by the Penguins in their 4-3 win over Ottawa across the border.

A thing of beauty, the kind of play you rarely see on ice.
One short diagonal pass to the left followed by 3 consecutive long diagonal passes cutting out defending Ottawa Senators on a fast moving play -
Left to Right
Right to Left
Left to Right
and there is Crosby a nanometer from the crease to tap in the puck with the shaft of his stick.
ALL HEADLINES
Looked like the kind of thing you would draw up as a designed play and it was perfectly executed.
You can see the set-up and goal late in the 7 minute duration game recap video

Detroit was completely out-physicalled in their game tonight against Calgary.

To me it honestly looked like a lack of intensity more than a lack of willingness to hit and get hit.

No excuses. Detroit was up 2-1 in the 3rd and consecutive defensive breakdowns game Calgary the lead at 3-2.

Now if Babcock would ONLY scratch Samuelson instead of Hudler we'd be in business

Take away about 30 seconds of the first period and it's an even game.

That's how it goes sometimes.....

Although that PP goal by San Jose was a thing of beauty, the turnover was not.

San Jose hasn't really outplayed Detroit and Detroit is flat.
