The wife has us running over to Chicago for the day on Saturday. So does anyone know a good place for some Buckeyes to watch The Game in the Windy City.

The ESPN Zone is kind of a cool place, but I've never been there for a CFB game. I would imagine there are a ton of UM fans, and some OSU fans, in chitown... so there has to be a good place to watch it. I'd consider asking on the Michigan boards.

casey moran's is the official game watch for chicago alumni. i've watched most of the games there and it will definitely be off the hook so get there early. it's on the corner of waveland and clark across the street from wrigley field.

Chicago 's a huge Michigan town. If Detroit were your other choice where would you go?
I spent a weekend attending an English teachers conference (NCTE) and visiting with a former student and her husband. They lived in a neat little section of town near Lincoln Park. On game day Rich took me to a nearby bar. I should have known better because there was a huge blue flag with a corn yellow M on it hanging by the front door. The damn place was stuffed with Michigan fans. We did a good deal of jawing back and forth and it was damned difficult to watch Shawn Springs miss that tackle that gave Michigan the lead. At least they bought me a couple of rounds and cheered me for showing up at "their bar." I hated loosing the game, but they were far better sports than I would have been had the Buckeyes won. I think that game hurt more than any other of Coop's defeats.

In Texas..
The greatest experience I have ever had watching an OSU game was at Sullivans in Lincoln Park. I was there for THE game in 2002. Unbelievable experience. The place is full of people with Ohio origins.
I'm pretty sure that the owner, Jack Sullivan, played on the '68 team.

unfortunately, jack sullivan's no longer exists. it was bought out a few months ago. that was by far the greatest osu bar in chicago.
