Pirates II: Dead Man's Chest (merged)

You bred raptors?
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest midnight showing, and I must say it was amazing!! I suggest anyone and everyone who enjoyed the first to go see this movie, you won't be disappointed! Now it's time for me to head to bed, work at 8 tomorrow.... :(

Just got back myself. Faithful to the first and great if that is what you are looking for - which I was.

A bit intense for younger kids, even more so than the first.

Depp disappointed a teeney bit only because he did not take the role further than in the first. Not that an academy award performance is a bad standard, but I have very high expectations of Mr. Depp.

You might get more comments in this thread if the title is actually about pirates II.
My bad, and your right I'll be more specific next time. Also thanks for the fix up BB73.

However, continuing what I thought of the movie, I must say I was a little caught up in the movie after just watching it minutes before posting, not to mention I really needed some sleep, lol. Anyways, I just thought it was a very entertaining film, lots of cool scenes which I won't go into because I don't want to spoil them, but lets just say theres lots of action... Also I think the reason that Depp's preformance wasn't as spectacular as in the first is because the movie wasn't centered around him this time, it was a much more balanced film in terms of character development. I also agree with buckeyegrad, though, it was pretty obvious that it was an unintended sequel, but, unlike most sequels, I thought this one was another great story (compared to the first) with a great plot, and great action.

I don't know if anyone heard Dr. DVD on CD101 yesterday morning, but he saw it Wednesday night on a special screening and said he thought it was basically the opposite of which I thought, he claimed it as a typical sequel that uses tons of special effects and what not, however he did like it, but it didn't live up to his expectations, and he's not sure if it will be the summer blockbuster compared to Superman. Again I disagree with Dr. DVD, yet I haven't seen Superman yet so I should reserve my opinion on PC2 being the summer blockbuster.

Rambling on... mentioning summer blockbusters, while in the theatre I saw the trailer to Talledega Nights, Will Ferrel's new one and I must say that it looks absolutley hilarious. I was cracking up throughout the entire preview, hopefully the movie can do the same! This movie will definitley go down as one of the better modern comedies in my opinion.

Ben Stiller's new movie looks quite interesting as well, I forget what its called, but it centers around a museum that comes to life at night, looks pretty good and Robin Williams is in it as...Teddy Roosevelt. And finally Lady in the Lake looks much better to me now that it did a 6 months ago when I first saw the preview to it. But enough of my movie and preview reviews, lol, just go see Pirates of the Caribbean, it is definitley worth it, in my opinion, and the ending is quite good!
