Is that what kids say these days? I heard a 10 year old girl telling someone that the haunted house they went to last night was pimp. I guess I'm just old.

Maybe she'll change her mind on the meaning of that word when she starts working for one.

Or maybe she just found navigating the haunted house to be difficult. After all, pimpin' ain't easy.

Just another made-up way for saying something is "cool" or "great". I guess it's the replacement for "sick", and before that there was "dope". When I was a kid, if you called someone "dope" or "sick" you had better be ready to get your ass kicked.

I grew up in the age of "cool" and "awesome".

At least people using "awesome" they way they do is not too far from the actual meaning of the word, just overblown, whereas the real meaining of the word "cool" doesn't relate to its colloquial usage and the the real meanings of "sick" and "dope" are no where near their colloquial usage. And who the fuck came up with the word "groovy" in the '60s?

Having a 16 year old son, I've heard quite a few new expressions over the last 5 years. The one I liked from a few years ago was used to describe an attractive lady. If a lady was extremely attractive, she was refereed to as being "bangin' hot", or just bangin' for short.
