Assistant to the Head Coach
I’m sure Parker is a great guy, so I feel bad for what I’m getting ready to say.
Our special teams wasn’t bad this year. It was fucking garbage. We saw mistakes every game, the players continued to make these mistakes, and it never got better. Everyone else in the real world gets fired when their entire staff is this incompetent. It isn’t just raw performance either. Mental errors. Things that should be addressed with good coaching. Things that should be addressed with average coaching.
If this team and staff are serious about improving, the time to leave was halfway through the fucking season.
Does this team want to win a natty or not? If the answer is no, then I’m ok with this dude sticking around because what we saw from this unit last season simply isn’t even close to being that caliber. So if the staff is ok with those results… I have serious issues with the staff.
Hopefully it’s just early and no moves have been made. But again - this one should have happened when our S/T looked worse than Zanesville High School’s unit on a weekly fucking basis.

I think the more basic question is if Ryan Day wants to keep his fucking $10MM a year job or not.
If this clown gets a pass, Day is dead man walking as soon as the new AD gets here.

Dude....they were bad but I don't think they were Zanesville bad. That's harsh bro....
Full disclosure - when the high school I do stats for played Zanesville this year I swear to you Zanesville looked like a Middle School team. Had we not sat 4 starters on offense I think the game literally could have been a 70-0 slaughter instead of a 34-0 slaughter. The defense held Zanesville to 69 total yards of offense and that was playing most of the JV kids the full 4th quarter and most of the 2nd half.

Just remember, Day caused this train wreck. He doesn't get a medal for unfucking it (if he even does/can).
