Out of Staters - How do you represent tOSU?

Adam Locked

Texas Buckeye
I just got a new job at the Texas A&M Bookstore, and I'm allowed to wear any cap I want. So you know where this is going right? I wear my red tOSU hat everyday to work!! So far not too many comments except for a couple. An old man asked me if I was from Ohio, I said "Yes, I lived there when I was growing up". And he said to me, "Well, welcome to Texas!". I was like LOL because I was actually born in Houston, my family just moved to Ohio when I was a kid, then we moved back to Houston. I didn't say anything but I thought it was friendly. I also frequently wear my "You win with people" red TShirt around campus as much as possible. :)

Anyways, anyone from out of state representing tOSU in any special way? :oh:

Manfred and I wear a few OSU T-shirts and sweatshirts and I have OSU gloves. Our car has an OSU sticker on it. We have watched the Buckeye games with the local alumni group a few times.

Yesterday I passed a girl (probably in her late 20s) wearing an OSU sweatshirt, and I said "Go Bucks" as I walked past her. She just ignored me. Bitch!

Last time I was in Massachusetts I was in Hyannis picking up a buddy of mine at the Steamship. I was wearing a Buckeye t-shirt waiting for the boat to dock and a guy walked by me and said "Go Bucks." My drunken response... "Thank you!" Damn Scorpion Bowls! :shake:

At the office: I have an Ohio State tiffany lamp on my desk and a nice framed drawing of an in-color University Hall superimposed over a bunch of black & white buildings ranging from the Wexner Center to Ohio Stadium.

Auto: Silver/pewter colored licence plate cover.

Apparell: Tressel's Troops t-shirt on gamedays.

The last time I was in Hyannis I got pulled over for going 40 in a 35 (the street changed back and forth b/t 40 & 35 mph several times) and made to do a field sobriety test. Fucking nazis.

I was born in Massachusetts and lived there for half of my life. With all due respect to sushi I will never move back.

I always wear my Buckeye gear when I'm out of state. Last time I was at the Mohegan Sun I wore my Buckeye hoody and won $611 playing video poker.

The radio station I work at doesn't really have a dress code so I can wear OSU gear (incl. hats)... TV station I can't.

I almost always have something OSU on and I get stopped alot of time because there is a lot of Alumni and fans down here. There are several Alumni that go to my church... my kids even wear OSU stuff to church and we get comments there. There's a "kids chat" that our Pastor does at the beginning of the service and a few weeks ago after he was done and the kids were walking down the aisle to the daycare area some old guy said "go bucks!" as they walked by and the kids responded back with an OH-IO

I wear tOSU shirts/jackets/sweatshirts/hats all the time, have my room decked out with Ohio State banners, posters, bedspread, etc.

I also remember to rub it in to all the resident hokie and scUM fans down here everytime we win and they blow a big game.

Office/Work - Lots of stuff in my office, including my diploma. I also wear OSU ties and my sweatervest on special occasions.

Home - Flag flown on game days (I'm paranoid it will be stolen if up too much). Lots of t-shirts, hats and sweatshirts worn around town. Same goes for the boys.

I had some jerk give one of my kids a dirty look last summer when he saw him wearing an OSU shirt. My son was walking a few steps ahead of me. The guy looked up at me, saw my hat and the expression on my face and just looked away. I'm not a big guy but I will end you if you mess with my family, especially if you are upset about the shirt he wears.

OSU screen saver and NC mouse pad. My boss hates OSU - he went to BC and during the kickoff classic when we played BC, he claims OSU fans booed the BC band. Im not sure, but he's probably telling the truth. Also, when OSU wins a big game, I wear my "Victory Tie." A S&G striped rep tie. After the ND win - I wore it to our weekly meeting. Since I sit right next to him in the meeting, he immediately noticed and said - "I knew you were going to wear that fucking tie!" I just smiled......
