For those who may not have seen the forum announcement...
Greetings!
We want to keep the forums running smoothly all day. Clearly, this is going to be a high-traffic weekend, and so we have taken precautions to keep the server happy.
We will use fresh threads for the game, perhaps for each quarter. As each thread is locked, the last post will link to the new thread.
Signatures and vbplaza icons have been turned off. The reputation system and avatars are next in line if we need a performance boost. Should the entire populations of OH and CA show up, it is possible we would turn off viewing by unregistered guests, so while this is not anticipated, registering now might be a good idea.
If you do notice a lag in thread response, reloading rapidly tends to be counterproductive. Instead, give it a couple of minutes and the issue will work itself out.
We also want to make sure everyone has a good experience in the game thread. Cheer, analyze, critique, enjoy! But bashing and whining are good for at least a two-week vacation from BP. Obviously emotions run high, but some comments are best expressed off the forum. We'd also appreciate if everyone ignored any trolling that does occur, as it will be handled quickly with big sticks.
