OSU Football Jersey Scrimmage Details?

grunkemeyer21

Go Bucks!
I saw on coachtressel.com that Sideline Pass members are able to attend a closed jersey scrimmage on April 8th. It sounds like it could be a pretty sweet event since it is closed to the public, but i was wondering if anyone knew any additional information about the event. I'm thinking about signing up so i can go.

I was very curious about this too... it costs $49.95 for a year membership to CoachTressel, but you get into the typically closed jersey scrimmage for free (no cameras).

Does anyone have a membership to coach tressel, and could give the pros and cons? You can always send me a private message and I can post the text of your response as well if you prefer.

I just signed up for a membership yesterday. I figured it would be a nice thing to have for when spring drills get started and they post the videos. I'm hoping that I didn't waste 50 bucks, but the money goes to a good cause so either way I'm happy.

coachtressel.com

For $50/yr, it seems to be a decent value. This past season, all of the content was free and the site had new videos almost every day - and audio directly from Coach after many of the practices. My favorite part of all was the buckeye leaves posted after the game so I could see exactly how many leaves each of the players got. I was hoping the content would stay free, but it looks like the proceeds go towards some good charities. if anyone has a sideline pass, feel free to comment on your experience so far. I'm pretty sure i'm going to sign up as i'd like to attend the scrimmage.

You mean your favorite part wasn't seeing my photos on www.coachtressel.com ?

Nice Shots!

Are you the official photographer for coachtressel.com? They do have some sweet shots in the gallery. It's nice because you can view the large version of the photos too. My favorite is Gonzo's catch in the Michigan game - but there are a number of sweet photos on that site. Great work!

From the welcome letter:

As a special thanks to the people who have supported Ohio State Football through their purchase of a sideline pass, each coachtressel.com member will be invited to watch a closed jersey scrimmage in Ohio Stadium on April 8th! In addition, all attendeess will receive a quick lesson on the unique scoring system which pits the OSU offense against the defense.

The second paragraph explains that the $$ raised in March is benefitting Operation Helmet: www.operation-helmet.org (official site for the cause).

Pros:
There are a lot of video clips and "inside information"

Being CoachTressel.com, there is a substantial amount of information about Coach Tressel and his family.

Maybe you can write the $50 off on your taxes since it goes to charity?

Cons:
Its a slow time right now, but you'll get the spring practice period and all of the summer and fall festivities.

The only other con is that you might like the April deal better ... February was a "free" autographed photo (no official "HAYN" hologram sticker affixed to it so it might not be authentic!) and March is benefitting Operation Helmet.

But that is NOT the BEST shot of The Catch in the series! That would be the 4th shot here:
