(I didn't see a thread where this information would particularly fit in, if there is sorry!)

I pulled these stats from NFL.com draft history for a debate I was having on another board. I might add the names of the players at a later date. I thought the information to be interesting given that Tressel's recruiting classes are typically rated lower than Carr's.

This is compared to Lloyd Carr's draft #s and position.

1995:
UM: 5, 3 first round
OSU: 7, 3 first round
1996:
UM: 5, 1 first round
OSU: 4, 3 first round (3 in top 15)
1997:
UM: 3 (top pick round 3)
OSU: 7, two in first round (both top #1 and #3 picks)
1998:
UM: 5 (woodson #4 overall)
OSU: -0-
1999:
UM: 4 (top was round 2)
OSU: 8, 3 in first round
2000:
UM: 6, round 2 earliest
OSU: 6, 1 in first round

This is great! If Tressel isn't advertising himself as one of the best coaches for NFL preparation, he definitely should be.

Would be interesting to see how this compares to USC, UF, the U, etc. Obviously the records speak for themselves.

Well I made a table of all the players drafted since 1995, their names, draft position, and the team who drafted them. However, I cannot find a good way to post the .xls file here. I can't do it as HTML or in the excel format and make it look right here.

Any suggestions?

well, I put it up, it's ugly as is, but it's at least readable.... When I find a way to make it more presentable, I will.

Can't attach .xls files, so I converted it to .doc and uploaded it if people want to read it easier.
