OL Michael Brewster (Official Thread)

seriously. especially those out of state kids.

Not to be a jerk, but this is getting older than the people who actually say JT can't recruit out of state. :wink2:

GREAT coups though by our Bucks and especially big ups to Mike Adams for the work he's doing on the inside. What a great domino effect we have going on here. Hopefully we can wrap this class up early and realize just how great these pre-season gets are. Less drama this way. I love it!

What will be most fun will be watching (of all these high caliber OLs that we're going to end up having in this class), which of these kids performs best at the next level. One of the 3-5 should hit elite status. We'll see!

We need more Oline men. Cissoko is great and I know our secondary will be alot better with Cissoko and Warren maybe even Will Hill, thats a big if though. We need people to protect Mallett, we only took 2 Oline men last year.

I remain slightly skeptical of Shugarts, just because he's loved every visit he's taken.
I hope I'm wrong , but time(short) will tell.
Just getting Brewster would be fantastic!

Well seeing as how J.B. is commiting Moday or Tuesday, I would say it is pretty definite he is going to commit to OSU...or do you mean stick with the commitment?

Traveling all day and had limited internet access...

I am in my hotel, just logged on and the first words out of my mouth when I was reading these threads were "HOLY CRAP"...except I didn't say CRAP.

PS - during my travels today I saw Shugarts at the Columbus airport. His dad (I assume) had an O-State hat on...

Regarding who's bigger in stature (Shugarts/Brewster/Adams), let me say this: JB looks huge when he is sitting down and that has to say something.

Just to further end speculation and ease any lingering worries, I was at a social gathering on campus saturday night and a bunch of the football players were there. Sure enough I saw Brewster there, so I enjoyed a cold drink and talked to him for a second to make him feel at home, and when I asked how things were going with recruiting, sure enough he told me that him and JB both committed to Ohio State that afternoon, and they were going to announce when they got home. I told him I would keep it a secret for him but now that its more or less common knowledge, WELCOME TO BUCKEYE NATION MIKE AND JB!!

and just so you know I told him he should start recruiting Terrelle Pryor and his response was that he was one step ahead of me, and he seems to think think we got a pretty good shot too

As I said before if you guys get Pryor I am going to s**t myself. Mallett is here for a reason though. That would be a really interesting battle between the two best QB's from the class of 07 and 08. If we are running the ball 30-35 times when Mallett is are QB, you might as well just sit him. Because that's a waste of talent. Michigan and Ohio St are really on another level compared to the rest of the big ten though.

Penn St. and Wisconsin are nipping at our heels though.
On the field yes, but I think he may have been referring to the recruiting front. OSU and Michigan are the only two schools in the Big Ten that you can pencil them in for a top 10-15 class every year no matter what.

Still, Penn St. is usually right there with us in recruiting too.
